Fall Flower & Garden Fest

October 17-18 2014

The Flower and Garden Fest is the biggest event in Crystal Springs every year. It takes place on the research station (where we live). Over the two day period they average around 5,000 people that come. There are vendors, plant nurseries, free classes, and much more. Kind of like a big Expo but it's all outside.

We were so excited about having such a big event so close to us. The girls enjoyed being able to get out and see everything. Shaun was EXHAUSTED when all was said and done, but it was a great success!

The university has volunteers that come in and make some awesome scarecrow men and women. Next year I will remember to take some more pictures of these guys. This picture was from another year.
Lots of people enjoying the gardens!

There was a homemade ice cream stand. Claire got vanilla and we went home and put sprinkles on it! Also, once again loving my stroller! Then, you can see Shaun in action helping people.
We stole Shaun for a minute to ride the loop on the wagon.
Such a beautiful day!

After the festival ended late Saturday afternoon we drove to Wessen to their semi-annual flea market. Our branch had a booth and the boy scouts were selling their chicken on a stick.  Claire was also excited to see such a big mickey mouse. We let her pick a bow from the MANY bow shops. She choose Minnie Mouse. Down here in Mississippi the girls wear BIG bows. This was their small version. What a fun, fun weekend!
