The Zoo!

Saturday Shaun and I had a great time at the zoo!

 We were invited by Shaun's old roommate and his wife.  

I LOVED being outside in the sunshine! 

The animals were pretty cool, too.

 They look a little creepy but both are "harmless." 

I still wouldn't want to find that crawling around in my house. 

Teacher Idol

Every year for teacher appreciation week the "room moms" decorates the teachers' doors according to the theme. This year it was about being "stars." Anyway, this is what my room mom came up with. I thought it turned out SO fun! I told her I liked American Idol and she had fun making me an Idol. Ü The part you can't see is the floor. She had a red carpet giving me my own littly runway. I also really thought having the photographers in the hallway was great, too! She went to a lot of work!!

When the students showed up on Monday it was classic seeing/ hearing their reactions. One boy commented that it was, "creepy." another one said that it was "so cool." 

 My classroom is right by the office so it is a high traffic area. Everyone who walked by commented on my door. I think secretly they all just want a red dress like the one I am wearing on the door. Don't I look stunning? 

 

DeLaine's Magical Hat

My sister in law has such an entrepreneurial spirit. She recently started a business selling crepes as a unique type of edible arrangements. Because they are made fresh they are unfortunately only available in the Dallas Texas area. The crepes come with fruit, whipped cream and chocolate ganache. They are then wrapped in a nice hat box. They look amazing and are a great gift for Mother's Day or other special events.
