Saturday outing!

Our friends, Boyd & Allison will be starting on their rotations in April so we wanted to have one last outing with them before they go. It was a 60 degree Saturday so we headed to the Akron Zoo. It's a pretty small zoo, but we still had a great time.
Claire's favorite part were the birds. She has really been into birds lately. Our windows are so thin you can hear the birds chirping all day long and Claire loves to run over to the sliding glass door to look at them.
She also loved seeing the fish!

Boyd and Allison (we will miss you guys!)
After we went and ate and an amazing place and talked Boyd & Allison in to making the 45 drive to our house. Shaun made us lava cakes and we had a great time!

In other news, Claire is now 18 months old! She is growing up and definitely learning so much! We broke down and bought an ipad mini with our tax return. can I just say the face time is AWESOME! Claire knows that after we face time she can play "elmo" on the ipad. It's a cute ABC game.

My mom sent Claire some heart bracelets for Valentine's Day. She loves to put them anywhere she can think of. On her feet, hands, hooks, shoe rack, etc. It's so fun watching her think and discover.

After Shaun left one morning Claire realized that she could draw on the storm door since it's been so cold. This kept her entertained for quite awhile.
Some of Claire's most used words: help, up, eat (if I say it) elmo, mamma, daddy, nana, papa...(we are working on using more words and less whining.) She is also in love with cows. When she sees a picture of a cow she always moooos. :)

At her 18th month appointment her stats were: Weight: 19 LBS 5 oz! YEAH! height: 29 1/2 inches.

She also had to have her blood drawn again. It was horrible! She was fighting the needle so much they had to try in both arms. I had to physically pin her next to me. I really dislike those moments. Sadly, it was confirmed that she is allergic to peanuts, and her wheat levels are about the same. :(

We are slowly making progress in the eating area. I know it won't  be fixed over night but I am grateful for the divine guidance and help we continue to receive! We sure Love this girl!

It's been too long!

Life has been busy! Mostly I haven't posted because after ten years we finally bought a new computer and it took a little while to get everything transferred over. :)
But Here is a quick update on us! February was a pretty good month for us! We had a great Valentine ’s Day. I found Claire a cute Shirt on Clearance so she could be a little festive. Shaun and I were supposed to go out to dinner on the 15th but Claire came down with the stomach flu so we stayed home. When she was sick she Had to hold both remotes while watching her Baby Einstein show. Silly girl! We are definitely hoping spring comes early…these colds/flus are getting old.

We also enjoyed having Seleta and her kids come visit us for several days. Collin didn’t have school so Seleta brought the kids all by herself. We had a great time and Claire was really into playing cars with Collin. Collin also LOVED pushing Claire in the stroller. J
We had a blast attending the local high school’s production of the musical, “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor dream coat.” Our babysitter was attending it so we decided to take Claire with us. She LOVED it! She sat in Shaun’s lap the entire time and clapped, laughed, and was just wide-eyed the entire show. The people sitting next to us were shocked at how content she was. I loved hearing all the familiar songs (since I was in it in high school) and I really had to try hard not to sing along. I admit the last song I couldn’t hold back anymore and sang into Claire’s ear. J
