Shaun's Graduation

Graduation weekend was so much fun! My Parents came down on Thursday afternoon to bring us one of their pianos. We get to take it with us when we move. It was great to visit with them!

Eating at MiMi's cafe! Love that place!

It's official! Shaun has graduated!
Shaun and his mentor professor, Dr. Stevens.
This has been a great journey!

My handsome hubby!

My parents and Shaun's parents!
What would we do without family?
Later that night we had a grad party for Shaun with the extended family and friends! Thanks to everyone for your love and support! It was nice for me to have a couple of days off from school and to enjoy the family time!

You may be wondering what the next chapter is for us...I will post the details very soon!

Fun Pictures...Fun Times!

Chelsie, Jessica, Amy, & Me
Then Alexa and Lyric walked in the door just in time for a picture...

You have to get a good look at Jessica's dress! It was BEAUTIFUL!
She looked stunning!

Chelsie and her Hubbie!

Carolyn came just in time to jump in so we could have our entire
team of first grade teachers together! These are the lovely ladies I have had the pleasure of working with this year! They are awesome teachers!

General Conference

Shaun and I had a great day together! He didn't have class so we just spent the entire day
doing things we enjoy to celebrate his birthday! This is the final product of Shaun's birthday cake. It was after 10 pm when we were finally able to have cake so I opted to take the picture and not be in the picture! Shaun actually made his own cake this year- homemade German chocolate. Yum! If you want a piece let me know, we have plenty to go around. Ü

Spring Break: Day 1

Spring break so far has been crazy. Shaun's parents decided that after we move out of their condo in June they want to have it sold instead of finding new renters...(I really don't blame them) thus the Condo is officially on the market. Here is a list of all of the exciting (haha) things I did today.

1. Dentist appointment- just the six month check-up
2. Ran an errand- trying to figure out Shaun's graduation announcements
3. scrubbed both bathrooms with a toothbrush
4. packed my winter clothes (even though it was snowing yesterday)
5. fell asleep in the office chair for 20 mins- woke up with a crink in my neck
6. packed up the books in the office (6 boxes)
7. The in-laws came over to help scrub the blinds, touch up paint, etc.
(they are so sweet to help!)
8. ...hours later, ran to Lows to get a few items
9. now...sitting and relaxing Ü

Tomorrow we have over 40 Realtors coming over to check out the Condo at 9:15 AM. It has to be spotless. When I was cleaning tonight I was thinking how crazy it has been to sell this place and we aren't even the owners. I think just the unknown of, if it will sale, when it will sale, etc, is killing me. It's a beautiful place and I really want it to go to a good owner. I have really grown attached since we have been able to make it our own!

Hopefully tomorrow will be a little more play and little less work...It's Shaun's Birthday!!

I am feeling a little deja vu from two summers ago!

The Easter Bunny came Twice!

So all weekend long I have been thinking about past Easter weekends and the fun things we have done as a family growing up. I think the year that I remember really well is the year the Easter Bunny came twice, a kids dream, right? I was probably 6 or 7 at the time. That year for spring break my parents left us with my grandparents for the week and they went on a cruise to Mexico. I was such a Momma's girl I cried a lot that week. Well, Saturday rolled around and my Grandma told us she needed to "go into town," which is about a 45 minute drive. My older sister and younger brother and I piled into the car. The entire way my grandma was asking us "what the Easter Bunny 'normally' brought us." Once we got to the mall my Grandma left us in the car so she could run in and get a few things. She was trying to be really sneaky. It felt like hours sitting in that car. We were kind of suspecting something was up but didn't say anything to Grandma.
Well, Easter morning came and sure enough everything we had named off in the car the day before was right there in our baskets. (what a sweet grandma). We went to church and my parents made it part way through. I remember crying and crying I was just so happy to see my mom. After we got home from church we headed into the living room and sure enough the Easter Bunny had come again!! My parents had brought us stuff and set it out during church! We couldn't believe our eyes! It was pretty amazing! I really appreciate my family always trying to make holidays special!

On a more serious note, I am so grateful for Easter. Although we can reflect on the Savior daily, Easter is a great time of year! I feel so blessed to know the truth that He did rise again! Death was not the end for him nor is it the end for us!

Happy Easter!
Love, The Broderick's!
