Kate is such a fun girl to have around! I can't believe she is now 14 months old! She is so full of life! Here are some important things about her that I want to remember!
She is smiling 99.9% of the time! She waves to people, says, "hi" and loves to jabber to people.
She Loves the play piano! She is now able to get herself on the piano, play & dance to the music, and get off all by herself!
She is starting to like books more. Shis is SO SO busy it's rare for her to stop and look at more than 2 pages of the book. She has observed Claire reading/ looking at books so she is starting to do it now. We set up the play tent in her room since it's been so cold lately. One day I couldn't hear her. I raced around looking and found her in the tent looking at books. So cute!
If she's mad about something she will definitely let you know! Once and awhile things won't go her way and she likes to get on the floor and kick her feet.
ten seconds later...smile
10 seconds later...back to the floor..."I'm still mad mom."
She loves to wear the necklaces, bracelets, socks and shoes. If she finds her shoes and they aren't on her feet she will persist until I put them on.
My mom sent the girls their own Valentine's day cards. Kate's was of Mickey Mouse. She seriously packed that card around for days!
Just this week when I say, "let's fold our arms for prayer," she will clasp her hands like this. melt my heart!
She has two "friends." Monkey (from Aunt Seleta & tater (from Papa). She loves these friends!
I always know when her teeth are bothering her or working their way in because she will stick her tongue out trying to feel them.
Kate's favorite show is baby Einstein. If she sees the DVD case she will hand it to me and grunt, as if she is saying, "play it mom."
- Kate loves to give hugs and kisses
- She loves to dance. Anytime she hears music (or even hears the word dance) she gets her groove on.
- She loves to eat and wants to try EVERYTHING that I am eating! You don't understand how monumental this is! (claire still has a hard time trying new things). Kate was eating some of our salad the other night.
- She is done nursing during the day! HOORAY! Once this molar is done causing problems we will wean at night!
- She still takes 2 good naps and was sleeping through the night before these teeth started causing problems. :(
- She loves Claire and wants to do EVERYTHING she is doing! They are starting to play together a little bit more, which has been fun to see!
- She is almost walking on her own. She will walk along the walls, walk with our help and walk around all the furniture.
- She loves bath time and will splash Claire and try to climb on her and over her.
- She loves her mommy and daddy! She gets so excited with Shaun comes home from work.
- She is so busy at church! Since we are in a branch with a small building we don't have traditional pews. We have chairs...so she is constantly trying to grab the person in front of us, climb under or over the chairs and then escaping the chairs seems to be her ultimate goal. Church is exhausting, good thing she is so cute! count down to nursery begins!
