Last Sunday, February 2nd, we had Kate blessed at church. Shaun has early meetings and since we just have one car we all go early. Once we got to church Kate was wide a wake so I took advantage and had a mini photo shoot in the foyer.
Big Sister wanted in on the pictures. :)
My Grandma Thompson, who is over 80 years old, made this blanket special for Kate. She had a knee replaced earlier this year and told me it is her healing blanket. It is so beautiful and has little specks of sparkle in it. Not to mention it is such a warm blanket. Thank you grandma so much!
We didn't get a family picture until right after church. But not too shabby for it being nap time. Our good friends Boyd and Allison, who live close to Cleveland, drove down for the special day. We weren't able to have any family so it was nice to have them join us. We had a great meal with them after the kids were settled.
It really was a special day. Kate was an angle and didn't cry at all during the blessing. She even waited until after the sacrament to want to eat. :) It was a beautiful blessing and she is already fitting great into our family. Kate endures a lot of love from her sister but she takes it in stride. We sure love our little family!!
