Saturday outing!

Our friends, Boyd & Allison will be starting on their rotations in April so we wanted to have one last outing with them before they go. It was a 60 degree Saturday so we headed to the Akron Zoo. It's a pretty small zoo, but we still had a great time.
Claire's favorite part were the birds. She has really been into birds lately. Our windows are so thin you can hear the birds chirping all day long and Claire loves to run over to the sliding glass door to look at them.
She also loved seeing the fish!

Boyd and Allison (we will miss you guys!)
After we went and ate and an amazing place and talked Boyd & Allison in to making the 45 drive to our house. Shaun made us lava cakes and we had a great time!

In other news, Claire is now 18 months old! She is growing up and definitely learning so much! We broke down and bought an ipad mini with our tax return. can I just say the face time is AWESOME! Claire knows that after we face time she can play "elmo" on the ipad. It's a cute ABC game.

My mom sent Claire some heart bracelets for Valentine's Day. She loves to put them anywhere she can think of. On her feet, hands, hooks, shoe rack, etc. It's so fun watching her think and discover.

After Shaun left one morning Claire realized that she could draw on the storm door since it's been so cold. This kept her entertained for quite awhile.
Some of Claire's most used words: help, up, eat (if I say it) elmo, mamma, daddy, nana, papa...(we are working on using more words and less whining.) She is also in love with cows. When she sees a picture of a cow she always moooos. :)

At her 18th month appointment her stats were: Weight: 19 LBS 5 oz! YEAH! height: 29 1/2 inches.

She also had to have her blood drawn again. It was horrible! She was fighting the needle so much they had to try in both arms. I had to physically pin her next to me. I really dislike those moments. Sadly, it was confirmed that she is allergic to peanuts, and her wheat levels are about the same. :(

We are slowly making progress in the eating area. I know it won't  be fixed over night but I am grateful for the divine guidance and help we continue to receive! We sure Love this girl!
