Utah/ Idaho Trip

Claire and I had the chance to go visit the family in Utah and Idaho. Since baby girl is coming in a few months and Claire was about to turn 2 it made sense to travel while she was still free and I wasn't too big yet. :)

We got to visit the Provo City Center Temple site. I loved going to the tabernacle for stake conference and I know the temple will be beautiful. The ward in this area has a info booth with missionaries there to tell people more about it.

Beth and her Son, Jonathan, along with Grandma and Grandpa all joined us for Thanksgiving Point. Claire loved the animals and really enjoyed the pony ride.

Claire loves her cousin Missy. She would walk around all day asking, "Where Missy go?"
We also enjoyed some outings to the park, lunch dates with sister-in-laws, and BBQs with the family.
If only we didn't have to deal with the time change traveling would be a little less tiring. :)

Another reason we booked thetrip during this time was because my brother and his family were planning on being in town from Washington. Sunday I left Orem, headed up for a stop at one of my best friends in Logan and then continued to Pocatello in time for my Brother Ben's birthday dinner.

My sister found this sweet Organ Trail shirt for his Birthday. It was great to spend some time with him for a few days before he had to head back.

Claire was a great traveler considering how much we were out and about. She even got to wear Nana's sun glasses. Lucky girl!

Ohio has so many cloudy days...like 240 something a year. So being in the west we were eating up the sunshine. My parents have this awesome covered deck that is just so peaceful. Claire loved playing on the deck and watching Joseph do his tricks on the trampoline.

We also got to spend some time with my Grandma T. Claire enjoyed a horsie ride on Grandma's lap. :)

Hanging out with Papa!

Claire LOVES to swim! One day we went to Lava and enjoyed their awesome pool and kids area. Another day we drove up to meet some of my aunts and cousins at a water park in Rexburg. It was a lot of fun!
After the water park we drove to my Grandparents house in Swan Valley and spent the night with them. It was great to see them and Claire loved showing off her singing ability. She has really turned into my little song bird. She knows almost the entire ABC song, Twinkle Twinkle, Row Row Row your boat, Sunbeam, Give said the little stream, etc. She is constantly singing and I love it!
Originally I was only going to stay through Friday but my cousin got engaged and planned his wedding for that Friday so thankfully I hadn't booked my ticket before he got engaged and so it worked out perfectly for me to stay a few more days and enjoy the wedding festivities.
Claire at the pool! We have this floating tube that she LOVES. She can swim without me having to hold onto her every minute. It definitely makes the water more enjoyable for both of us.
Teacum and sarah joining us for a swim.

Claire and I also got to spend some time with my Great Grandma who is 100 years old. She is still so spunky and with it!
It was so great being home with the family. After being gone two weeks it was time to get back to our own beds (especially since Claire doesn't sleep so well in a pack n play any more) and a consistent nap schedule. It was so fun letting Claire spend so much time with the family though! It makes the long airplane rides worth it. :)
